Posts: 1090 (06/05/08 12:22 PM) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite	Tags : None Timespan: pre-kidnapping (anyone join in!) "...9...10...Ready or not here I come!" Kaylee spun around. The common room was empty. Well, she wouldn't hide in here, the woman thought sheepishly. Acting the part, she snuck over to the infirmary window and popped her head up, grinning. When she saw no River there, no dark hair peeking out from amongst the white, her grin faded and she narrowed her eyes, becoming sneaky once more. One step...Two steps... "You can't hide River," she called. "I will find you!" Walking softly up the stairs, she peered around the corner. She wouldn't be in the engine room. It was off limits...so that only left...hmm... Suddenly she heard a sound what seemed to come from the cargo bay. Running, she jumped around the corner, confident of what she'd find there. And she did find someone - but it wasn't River. (OOC: come on join in! it's no fun without someone else!)

He was wearing his customary shorts and cutoff shirt and was severally annoyed no one wanted to spot him to do a full set. He saw Kaylee come in and he smiled at her. She always managed to brighten his day: Hey Kaylee-bird. Havent seen moonbrain. Wanna spot me? He smiled a mischievous smile. What she saw in Simon Tam he would never know.Not like that ship hadnt sailed a long time ago neither. What are you doin anyway?

She meandered down the steps. "Hey, do you know where River is?" Hey Kaylee-bird. Havent seen moonbrain. Wanna spot me? Kaylee raised her eyebrows dubiously as she arrived next to the man and his weight-bench. "Don't think I'd be much good at it," she teased. "Do I look like I can lift all that?" She sat down on a crate nearby. What are you doin anyway? "Playin' hide and seek with River," Kaylee answered. "I dunno why though," she laughed. "I always lose. She knows all the good hiding spots."

She watched Jayne's arms as they moved up and down, straining (but barely) from the weight in his hands. "How many ya gonna do?" she asked, taking a break from her search.

Kaylee jumped up and started walking again, just to do something. "Does the captain know when we're gonna be setting down?" she asked. "There're only so many games of hide and seek and jacks you can play afore you start needing other entertainment."

I need to get off this boat before ..." Jayne leered at Kaylee and his weight slipped from his fingers and onto his foot. "...That happens," he said grimacing in pain. Kaylee grimaced as well, rushing back concerned. She looked down at his foot. "Is it broken?" She asked, hoping it wasn't cause the captain wouldn't like it one bit. She touched it tenderly, withdrawing her hand quickly, not wanting to hurt his foot.

She considered going and looking in Jayne's bunk, but the ape-man as Simon called him, probably wouldn't be happy about that. So, instead, she trotted off to the dining room. Once there, she started to look around for River. (OOC: anyone still wanna join?)

"MOONBRAIN YA BETTER NOT BE DOWN THERE AGAIN," he hollered tryin to scare her. He took off his shirt and flung it down into the bunk to see if anything moved.
